Tawhid: divine oneness before comparison
Read Qur’an 112:1 in context, with a distinct Babylon reflection and an optional practical question.
The passage · Qur’an 112:1
Al-Ikhlas begins with the oneness of Allah. The whole short surah denies divine begetting, birth and equivalence. That setting matters when a comparative project uses Father, Mother or emanation language from another tradition.
A close-reading question
What distinctions would be lost if a reader simply replaced this surah's language with a different theology?
Babylon’s authored reflection
Babylon's connections should remain named comparisons. Its devotional language cannot be presented as what this surah secretly means to all Muslims. A meaningful dialogue allows a real theological difference to stay visible.
An optional worked practice
Make two columns: what Al-Ikhlas says, and what Babylon proposes. Put each claim in only the column where it belongs. Leave an open question instead of forcing a single answer.
Keep this boundary
Allah is the Qur'an's Arabic designation of God. A proposed Hebrew-letter symbolic reading does not establish a different linguistic origin.
Edition and method
The passage précis was checked against Saheeh International’s English translation through the AlQuran Cloud text service. The linked Quran.com page lets you read Arabic, choose a translation and continue into context; its default English edition may differ. No translation exhausts the Arabic. This is an introductory companion, not a fatwa, complete tafsir or a survey of all Muslim interpretations.
Keep comparison distinct
Babylon’s reflection is the author’s comparative application. It is not presented as a hidden consensus of Islam, evidence of a universal psychological cause or proof of a physical energy mechanism. A Muslim reader can decline the comparison while remaining respected. The Father and Yeshua are Babylon’s devotional centre; the Qur’anic passage retains its own theological voice.
Learning in the Light
In Babylon, the Father’s light opens perspective, learning and a chosen next step. Your worth remains intact. Every person is sovereign, with dignity, freedom and room to grow.
