Where should a beginner start learning Babylon?
Begin with one human question, learn the structures separately, and follow one connection at a time.
Understand the idea
Choose a situation you can describe without specialist language. You might want to communicate more clearly, understand a repeated response, or make an intention practical. Learn the basic distinction between a chamber, station, path, Gate, and World before adding a sky calculation. Then choose one vocabulary entry that helps with your question. Read its definition, try its example, and follow one related entry. Learning every correspondence at once can make it difficult to see what a particular term is doing. The centre therefore offers several entrances: vocabulary for a known word, collections for a structure, and teacher journeys for a sequence. You can return to the diagram after you understand a concrete example. The aim is to explain an idea in ordinary language and use it thoughtfully, rather than to memorize a list without context.
An example to work with
Start with the Mirror and one relationship question. Follow its connection to a path, then return to the original question and say what the extra layer helped you notice. Stop there before adding another collection.
What is the smallest useful idea you can explain today?
Part of Babylon’s authored teaching framework. Symbolic correspondences offer a language for reflection and learning.
