QUESTION GUIDE

What does an orb tell me in an aspect reading?

An orb is a chosen tolerance around an exact aspect angle.

Understand the idea

A square targets 90°. If a pair’s shorter separation is 92°, the deviation from exactness is 2°. Whether that qualifies depends on the orb rule adopted by the method. Record the target, measured separation, deviation, and permitted tolerance separately. The tolerance is an interpretive selection rule rather than a law that makes an angle physically become a square. “Applying” and “separating” add another distinction: the deviation is decreasing or increasing over time. One static position record cannot always establish that trend; compare appropriate neighboring instants using a consistent calculation convention. Keep these geometric details separate from the meaning offered for the participating letters. A precise angle supports a precise measurement claim, while the reflection remains part of Babylon’s symbolic teaching.

MAKE IT PRACTICAL

An example to work with

With a chosen 3° tolerance, a 92° separation is within a square’s band and 94° is outside it. Label that tolerance as an example, not a newly adopted default for all Babylon calculations.
