A REUSABLE READING RESOURCE

Read carefully. Make the connection clear.

Use one named passage. Keep its words, your interpretation and your practice distinguishable.

Begin with a small passage

Choose a prayer, a saying, a paragraph or a diagram that the group can examine together. Record the work, edition and location. If you use a translated passage, note the translator. Keep the selection small enough to reread before answering.

Make room for disagreement

A question may remain open. Another reader can propose a different interpretation and point to the passage supporting it. Do not require personal disclosures. A practical exercise should be optional, modest and clearly identified as a new Babylon application.
