Which location and method are used?
The loaded timetable uses Tehran at 35.6892° north and 51.389° east, with the Asia/Tehran time zone. It was calculated with Swiss Ephemeris / Moshier using the documented Tehran method-7 solar angles. It is a calculated timetable rather than an official mosque schedule.
| Marker | Calculation in this edition |
|---|---|
| Fajr | Sun at −17.7°, rising |
| Zuhr / Dhuhr | Upper solar transit |
| Maghrib | Sun at −4.5°, setting |
| Asr reference | Shadow factor one |
| Isha reference | Sun at −14°, setting |
Three reminder windows and five reference times
The default clock provides three ordered reminder windows: Fajr, Zuhr followed by Asr, and Maghrib followed by Isha. The alternative five-time view adds the separate calculated Asr and Isha reference markers.
The site distinguishes these numerical markers from the sourced Shi‘a rules governing shared windows and prayer order. Use the method notes and your chosen religious authority when interpreting the timetable.
How the live clock behaves
Open the prayer clock to see its live Tehran time and next reminder. You can preview a loaded date without scheduling reminders for that preview. Notifications follow today while the page remains open; closing the page stops the local timer.
The date controls carry the shared selected day between the calendar, Moon and prayer views where that date is covered by the edition.
What the model includes
The solar curve uses geometric altitude. Rise and set calculations use the stated flat-horizon and atmospheric assumptions; terrain, cloud and actual twilight colour are not modelled. Times are rounded to the nearest minute, so calculation conventions can produce small differences between timetables.
The clock also provides readable prayer sequences, recitation references and explanations for each selected prayer. Open the timetable data to inspect its inputs before relying on a displayed marker.
