Sophia’s tenth repentance: help, courage and protection from deceitful speech
A close-reading companion with a source passage, an original Babylon exercise and a question to carry forward.
Learning in the Light
In Babylon, the Father’s light opens perspective, learning and a chosen next step. Your worth remains intact. Every person is sovereign, with dignity, freedom and room to grow.

Read the appeal
Chapter 52 narrates the acceptance of Sophia’s appeal and Yeshua’s coming to help at the First Mystery’s command. Sophia recognizes his compassion and takes courage. The tenth prayer asks for protection from deceitful speech and traps. Read the narrative introduction before the prayer.
Separate event and response
Make two entries on your worksheet: what the narrator says happened and what Sophia says in response. This simple distinction shows how the account develops. A prayer can be read as a response to a changed situation; its words need not be detached from the paragraph that introduces them.
Babylon’s reading: clear words make choices easier
Babylon’s authored application asks whether language helps a person understand what is offered. Devotion to the Father and Yeshua sits alongside respect for a learner’s judgement. A useful explanation makes its promises, limits and next steps visible. The learner may ask for clarification without having to prove spiritual readiness.
A worked example
A course invitation says that everything will become clear. Replace that with a specific offer: we will read one prayer, identify its speaker and discuss one question. The second invitation gives someone a practical basis for choosing. Ask another reader what they expect from it, then revise any phrase that still creates confusion.
A question about the voice of a teacher
Can you explain what your lesson provides and what remains open for further reading? Keep certainty proportionate to the material you have actually examined. The exercise is about your own wording; it supplies no authority to read another person’s thoughts or decide their intentions from a feeling.
