Aleph–Ayin · Breath enters the eye
Authority becomes a responsibility to see and care for what it affects.
א־ע · Explore the Aleph Gates collection ↗Understand the idea
Ayin supplies the image of an eye and a throne. Aleph–Ayin explores what a position of authority allows a person to notice and serve. The pairing contrasts attention to the wider field of responsibility with attention narrowed to status or self-image.
An example to work with
A course leader uses feedback to improve access to the material rather than treating every question as a challenge to their authority.
How the choice is expressed
Authority directs attention toward the people and work it serves.
Position becomes an identity that blocks attention to its effects.
In Babylon, the letter and the Gate remain light. These descriptions concern human expressions and choices.
Bring the idea into a lesson
Use an ordinary responsibility, such as organizing a group, to show how authority changes what needs attention.
Responsibility does not imply control over every outcome or unlimited responsibility for others.
