Understand the idea

Twenty-two distinct letters form 231 unique unordered pairs: 22 × 21 ÷ 2. Babylon gives each named Gate an established letter order. The mathematical identity of a pair and the wording of its name are different matters. Gates are also distinct from the 22 fixed letter paths and the three Great Gates.
