Babylon teaching
Why Gate names have an order
Keep the established Babylon name of a Gate even though the pair count is mathematically unordered.
Understand the idea
A pair can be counted once without making its public label interchangeable. Babylon’s current method retains the established order, such as Dalet–Peh. This keeps the vocabulary consistent across lessons, readings, and teaching materials.
An example to work with
Search for either “Dalet Peh” or “Peh Dalet”; the reference entry keeps the name Dalet–Peh.
A QUESTION TO CARRY
Are you describing the pair itself, its name, or its expression?
Part of Babylon’s authored teaching framework. Symbolic correspondences offer a language for reflection and learning.
