Finding the collective station

Divide the forward Sun–Moon arc into ten bands of 36 degrees.

Understand the idea

Compute D = (Moon longitude − Sun longitude + 360°) mod 360°. Then station = floor(D / 36°) + 1. The result runs from 1 to 10. This is Babylon’s adopted selection method. A station selects the same number across all four Minor Arcana suits. Exact conjunction needs a defined numerical tolerance.

MAKE IT PRACTICAL

An example to work with

A forward arc of 80° gives floor(80 / 36) + 1 = 3: Binah / FORM, expressed through the four Threes.
