The Minor Arcana in a daily reading

The number identifies a station; the suit identifies a World.

Understand the idea

A collective station selects the same number in all four suits: Station 1 selects the four Aces, Station 5 the four Fives, and Station 9 the four Nines. The public reading begins with human experience rather than card terminology. This ten-number, four-suit mapping covers forty numbered cards; court cards are outside this particular selection rule.
