Path 30 · The Sun
An understanding can be shared without being treated as a possession.
Understand the idea
Resh supplies the receiving and transmitting mind. The Sun card brings the image of illumination: what becomes easier to see when language is clear. In Babylon’s current ruler correspondence Resh is Mercury. The card’s title and the letter’s planetary role describe different layers of the teaching.
An example to work with
Explain the reasoning behind an answer so that a learner can use the understanding independently.
Name the corridor before interpreting it
Identify The Sun as the card, Resh as the letter, and Hod and Yesod as the connecting stations. Use the example to explain the movement, then invite the learner’s own account.
Follow the path teaching journey ↗Two ways to meet the movement
The path supplies a reflective question. How it is expressed remains a human choice.
Constructive expression
Share clarity so others can use it independently
What can obstruct it
An explanation is hidden or made needlessly obscure.
Try it as a teaching exercise
Use the example above. Describe one response that supports the movement and one that obstructs it. Ask the learner what evidence would help distinguish the two, then choose one action to review.
Work through a connected reading ↗What would let this clarity become useful to someone else?
Part of Babylon’s authored teaching framework. Symbolic correspondences offer a language for reflection and learning.
