Make the distinction.
A resemblance between a symbol and a current event does not establish identity or causation. Keep competing readings labelled and avoid assigning living populations supernatural enemy roles. Readers can examine difficult imagery while preserving the dignity of people today.
An everyday example.
Someone sees a dramatic prediction online. They locate the cited passage, check what it actually says and note which assumptions the prediction added. They may choose not to keep watching content designed to intensify fear.
A practice you can choose.
List the passage address and each extra assumption in one prediction. Leave any unsupported step unresolved.
You may adapt or decline the exercise. No personal disclosure, submission or agreement with an interpretation is required.
Babylon’s reading context.
The Universal Library distinguishes a work’s identity, the edition being read and Babylon’s authored interpretation. Different ancient books are not interchangeable simply because they use a shared image. These companions introduce reading tasks and connect to longer studies; they are not new translations of the full works. Keep a passage’s address and speaker visible. When an attribution cannot be located, leave it open rather than presenting a modern paraphrase as an ancient quotation.
Take the question into a deeper reading.
Keep the conversation open.
