Discernment, sovereignty & choice

Can tarot be used to read another person’s energy?

Babylon’s rule is categorical: do not use tarot to read another person’s energy, even when requested. Each participant may use an image for their own reflection and chosen action.

Make the distinction.

A card cannot establish someone’s private feelings, fidelity, motive or future decision. Consent to a reading does not turn that claim into knowledge. Shared reflection remains possible when each person speaks about their own experience rather than an interpreter announcing what is inside them.

MAKE IT HUMAN

An everyday example.

A group looks at the same image. Each person says what it brings up for them and what question they want to explore. Nobody assigns an unseen identity or a hidden intention to another participant.

A FREELY CHOSEN STEP

A practice you can choose.

Change a question about someone else’s energy into one about your observations, needs, boundaries and next step.

You may adapt or decline the exercise. No personal disclosure, submission or agreement with an interpretation is required.

Babylon’s reading context.

Every person is sovereign in Babylon’s teaching. A symbol, intuition, planetary position or another person’s confidence does not establish private thoughts, a diagnosis or someone’s spiritual rank. Tarot is directed inward: never use it to read another person’s energy, even by permission. Shared learning leaves each participant free to describe their own experience. Claims can be checked, boundaries can be stated and disagreement can remain compatible with respect.

Take the question into a deeper reading.

Keep the conversation open.
