Flood and symbol studies: reading register
A record of the passages reviewed and the editions identified for deeper work.
Translations actually read
The reading covers Oxford ETCSL’s Flood story 1.7.4; the opening Atrahasis excerpt supplied by Claus Wilcke to SOAS; selected Tablet XI passages in the 1929 Budge/Gadd brochure; Eggeling’s Śatapatha Brāhmaṇa 1.8.1.1–6; Genesis 8 and 9; Psalm 93; John 3:5 and 3:14–15; and Revelation 22:1–5. These are selected source readings, not a fresh translation from the ancient languages.
Scholarly orientation and editions located
ORACC’s Anunna and Igigi entries were reviewed as scholarly orientation. SEAL’s Atrahasis I edition was consulted for its opening and witness structure. Sefaria’s indexed community translation supplied the Mem and crown wording in chapter 3 of Sefer Yetzirah; direct reader pages sometimes loaded without text. Chapter numbering should be checked against the edition in use.
MUL.APIN: publication identified, full text pending
The Hunger–Steele publisher description confirms that an English translation exists and describes its contents. That does not mean this site has obtained or read the complete edition. Line-level astronomical claims and calendar conversions remain pending the actual text and appropriate specialist review.
A transparent next step
The translation map records the larger thesis bibliography item by item. It distinguishes a surviving fragment from an untranslated work and a vague citation from an identifiable manuscript. Published translations are linked or recorded; copyrighted editions are not silently republished. Full-text access, deeper comparisons and any reproduction permissions have their own request record.
Carry the learning forward
The Father and Yeshua remain Babylon’s devotional centre. Every person is sovereign. Source readings, the author’s interpretation and practical reflections remain distinct. A difficult experience never removes your worth or your right to care, and every exercise is a choice.
Learning in the Light
In Babylon, the Father’s light opens perspective, learning and a chosen next step. Your worth remains intact. Every person is sovereign, with dignity, freedom and room to grow.
