01 · Locate the passage
Record the work, translation and chapter. Begin with Sefer Yetzirah, Chapters I–II in Westcott’s 1887 translation. Keep a passage reference so another learner can find it.
02 · Name what is counted
Place 10, 22 and 231 beside their structures: sefirot or stations; letters; unique unordered pairs. Explain why 32 combines ten and twenty-two while 231 counts pairs.
03 · Find a letter family
Choose one of the 22 letters. Name its family: Mother, Double or Simple. Find the letter’s lesson. Keep its family separate from its fixed Tree path and daily role.
04 · Connect without merging
Use Aleph–Bet to ask whether a container serves its purpose. Make clear that this is a Babylon teaching exercise, rather than the passage’s literal wording.
05 · Teach and check
Ask a learner to restate one distinction and offer a new example. Record what became clear, what remains uncertain, and one change you will make to your explanation.
A useful lesson leaves someone able to explain an idea and question its interpretation.
