Throne: authority and the source of care

Explore throne imagery through Psalm 93 and Babylon’s question about what power serves.

Located source reading

Psalm 93 places an enduring divine throne beside the roar of waters. Its language concerns the kingship of the LORD. Read the whole short psalm before making it a diagram of a current government or an institution.

Babylon’s interpretation

A throne can open a question about the source from which a decision is made. Is a person acting from fear of losing command, or from a responsibility to care? This reflective contrast concerns a chosen action. It does not divide people into permanent good and bad identities or declare a present ruler divine.

A reading question

Distinguish the person addressed from the human reader. Ask what the image attributes to God and what, if anything, it asks of the audience. Then write the specific Babylon connection on another line. A word shared with the Climate Throne title does not erase the psalm’s own devotional setting.

A worked reflection

Choose a decision you are authorized to make. Write who will be affected, what information they need and how they could question your choice safely. One clear explanation or a fair opportunity to respond can make authority more accountable. You can revise a decision without losing your worth.

Carry the learning forward

The Father and Yeshua remain Babylon’s devotional centre. Every person is sovereign. Source readings, the author’s interpretation and practical reflections remain distinct. A difficult experience never removes your worth or your right to care, and every exercise is a choice.

Learning in the Light

In Babylon, the Father’s light opens perspective, learning and a chosen next step. Your worth remains intact. Every person is sovereign, with dignity, freedom and room to grow.
