Begin with three families.

Sefer Yetzirah groups the twenty-two letters into three Mothers, seven Doubles, and twelve Simples. This directory uses Babylon’s adopted elemental, planetary, and chamber correspondences. Letter family, path image, and daily reading role are distinct labels.

Make the distinction teachable.

Choose Kaf. Its family is Double, its broader correspondence is the Sun, and its Major image is The Wheel of Fortune on Path 21. The Sun card belongs to Resh / Path 30. A card title and a planetary correspondence are different labels.

Then choose Lamed: Simple letter, Libra / The Mirror, and Path 22 / Justice. Ask the learner to name the chamber and the fixed corridor separately.
