Understand the map.
Teach it clearly.
A practical course through the layers, letters, Gates, Arcana, and current daily method. Each lesson gives an outcome, an exercise, and a way to check understanding.

Prepare one useful lesson.
Choose a question the learner can recognize. Read the linked entries before teaching. Explain the example in ordinary language, introduce the technical names, then ask the learner to restate the connection. Keep current-method calculations separate from earlier versions and from symbolic interpretation.
Start with the beginner journey ↗Name the five layers
Learning outcome. A learner can distinguish chamber, station, path, paired Gate, and World.
Practice together
Sort five examples: The Mirror, Hod / SAY, Path 22 / Justice, Aleph–Bet, and Assiah. Ask what each names before explaining how they connect.
Check the explanation
The Mirror is a chamber; Hod is a station; Path 22 is a corridor; Aleph–Bet is a paired Gate; Assiah is a World. A useful explanation keeps those identities when it makes a connection.
Teach the alphabet families
Learning outcome. A learner can identify the 3 / 7 / 12 families and explain the seven-letter/five-ruler distinction.
Practice together
Place Aleph, Bet, and Lamed in their families. Then explain why Kaf and Tav remain Doubles while Sun and Moon have separate roles in the daily method.
Check the explanation
Aleph is a Mother, Bet a Double, and Lamed a Simple. A letter-family classification and an operational daily-reading role answer different questions.
Connect a letter, path, and card
Learning outcome. A learner can name a letter, its two fixed stations, and its Major image.
Practice together
Use Kaf / Path 21 / The Wheel of Fortune. Locate Chesed and Netzach. Then ask whether the Sun card must also be Kaf because Kaf has a solar correspondence.
Check the explanation
The Wheel is Kaf’s path image in this map. The Sun card belongs to Resh / Path 30. A card title and a planetary correspondence remain distinct labels.
Study a paired Gate
Learning outcome. A learner can explain the pair count and make a useful Aleph–Bet example.
Practice together
Describe an intention and the container it needs: a study group, a lesson, or a shared routine. Ask how the arrangement supports the purpose and what needs adjusting.
Check the explanation
The 231 count comes from 22 × 21 ÷ 2. It counts pairs; it does not supply 231 completed interpretations. Aleph–Bet becomes teachable through a clear distinction and a practical example.
Read numbered and court addresses
Learning outcome. A learner can distinguish numbered Minor stations from court ranks.
Practice together
Explain The Magician with Three of Pentacles: Path 12 / Bet; Station 3 / Binah / FORM; Assiah. Then compare the Three with the Page of Pentacles.
Check the explanation
Three supplies a fixed station number. Page supplies the Assiah rank-level lens within its suit. The daily Sun–Moon rule selects numbered cards, not a court rank.
Check a daily reading’s inputs
Learning outcome. A learner can distinguish measured inputs, an arithmetic rule, and a symbolic interpretation.
Practice together
Use hypothetical Sun 10° and Moon 350°. Find the forward arc and station, then the shortest separation. State what would still be needed to call it a real sky reading.
Check the explanation
The forward arc is 340°, giving Station 10. The shortest separation is 20°. A real reading still needs verified positions for one instant, consistent conventions, and stated tolerances. The practice checker verifies arithmetic only.
Teach back and choose an action
Learning outcome. A learner can explain a connection in ordinary language and decide how to use it.
Practice together
Ask the learner to bring a lived question, choose the relevant layers, and give an example. Invite a correction or a different interpretation. Close with SEE → SAY → DO and a point for review.
Check the explanation
A useful response names an observation, a need or understanding, and a proportionate action. The symbol opens a question; the learner remains able to disagree and choose.
A teaching record to keep
After a session, record the question, the layers used, the learner’s explanation, one point that needed correction, and the next action. Review the explanation again after the learner has tried it.
Take the question further.
